Membership Benefits

Even though the PPFMA's top quality VHF and UHF repeaters are open for
general amateur use, you as a member do receive additional benefits beyond
what non-members get. As a member, you have access to TWO autopatches.
One is accessible on the 146.97 MHz repeater; the other one is accessible
on either the 145.265 MHz or the 448.800 MHz repeater. The latter two
repeaters share the same phone line. You will receive information on
how to access the two autopatches when you become a PPFMA member.

There is also a Members Only area on the PPFMA web site, at which you can
obtain some of the more sensitive information, such as the PPFMA membership
roster. You'll also receive information how to gain access to this area
when you join the PPFMA.

As a member, you can have an effect on the way the PPFMA operates by virtue
of the leadership that you vote into the board of directors. Each year in
March, the PPFMA holds an annual meeting at which the directors are elected.
All full members have a vote in those elections.

You can get even more involved by
becoming a board member, provided you've been a PPFMA member in
good standing for at least one year prior to the annual meeting at
which you seek election.
Membership Categories

The PPFMA offers two types of membership.
The Full Membership is offered to one person in each household.
Additional members of the household may join the PPFMA at no
additional cost as a Family Member. The Full Member in each
household holds the privilege of voting at the annual meetings,
although the Family Member may vote in the absence of the Full
Member. In other words, one vote is allowed per household.
Membership Requirements

Membership in the PPFMA is open to all
licensed amateur radio operators, without regard to license class,
or country of issue.
Membership Fees

Membership dues are $20 annually, due by
March 1 of each year, payable in advance. Dues are prorated for
members joining at other times throughout the year. See the
proration table which is part of the membership application for
the exact amount due at the time you apply.
